How to Use Coconut Kefir Grains

Basic fermentation guide:

  1. Pour 400–800 ml of room-temperature coconut milk into a clean glass jar.

  2. Add the live coconut kefir grains.

  3. Cover loosely with a breathable cloth or paper towel.

  4. Let ferment at room temperature (22–28°C) for 24–36 hours.

  5. Strain to remove grains, refrigerate the kefir, and enjoy!

  6. Repeat the process with fresh milk for the next batch.

👉 Note: Since coconut milk lacks the natural sugars of dairy, you may need to “refresh” the grains in dairy milk or sugar water every few batches to keep them strong.
